Zindagi...

One odd day of my life, I was staring the skies, carrying something heavy on my mind, loaded with thousands of scattered thoughts, but that just ONE feeling. This was drafted at one of such moment, looking at one of the stars, in the sky, all alone!

is khule aasman mein, kahin jo ek taara chamakta hai,
zindagi ke kisi mod par ummeed ki ek kiran sa lagta hai.
yun to kehne ko dost hain iske na jane kitne,
par saath kahan koi iske rehta hai.

zindagi bhi kuch yun hi guzar jati hai,
chalte chalte na jane kahan theher jaati hai,
kuch maayne jo samjh lo zindagi ke,
to zindagi jeene ka maza kuch aur aata hai,
saath ho jab wo dost har pal,
har pal ek zindagi maloom padta hai.

Teri aakhon ki sharaaratein...

There's a story behind this post. I happen to be seeing a pic and these were the first few lines that came to my mind. I felt continuing and yeah, here it is!

teri aankhon ki sharaaratein kuch aisa asar kar jati hain,
mujhe ilhm bhi nahi hota aur sau baatein keh jati hain.

kuch ankahee si kuch ansuni si,
dil ko jo sukun dein, zindagi jeene ki chah dein,
baatein kuch aisi, baatein kuch aisi.

kuch yun asar hota hai teri baaton ka mujhpe,
dafan the jo armaan kahin is dil mein,
ubhar aate hain wo,
dabi thi jo khwaishein is dil mein,
pankh lag jate hain unhein.

zindagi ke is safar mein saath jo tera ho,
jeene ke maayne samajh aate hain,
har labz tere, is dil ko sukun dete hain,
har adayein ise bechain karti hain,
is dil ki chahat, is dil ki aarzoo,
tum hi to ho, tum hi to ho.

teri chahat ka asar kuch yun hua,
hosh mein na rahe hum,
aur behoshi bhi nahi rehti hai,
ek chaah uthti hai is dil mein,
tere aur kareeb aane ki,
tujhe apna banane ki,
tere gham ko apnane ki,
duniya ki sari khushiyan,
tere daaman mein lane ki.

tujhe jab bhi yaad karta hun,
is chehre pe muskaan aa jati hai,
teri har harkat is dil ko bhaati hai,
jeene ki chaah fir se jagati hai.

kuch aisa jadu hai teri nazaron ka,
jee chahta hai bas unmein kho jaun,
khud ko bhi dhoondh na sakun main,
kuch yun unmein main samaa jaun.

teri aankhon ki sharaaratein kuch aisa asar kar jati hain,
mujhe ilhm bhi nahi hota aur sau baatein keh jati hain.

Is the world coming closer; or you are missing your own near and dear ones?

Caution: ahh- this is not amongst the usual posts like you have seen before on my blog, read with caution :P

Correct, at first look, it seems more obvious that the world is shrinking and coming together using new and fast growing social networks; but is it really? To some extent, yes, but to most, surprisingly, it's not. Don't agree? Okay, let me help you understand my views on this.

We (almost all) in today's world are using smartphones, its bringing the world together for sure, but, the question is whether its helping the ones near you bring closer? Is it helping you getting closer to your society? Is it helping bring you closer to your family? Not all would agree to me, I know and it's absolutely fine, but try giving it a second thought.

Especially in countries like India, we are keeping ourselves at a distance from the society we live in. Most of the times, we happen to know something or the happening at a places besides us through electronic media and when I say electronic media it covers social sites, news channels, etc. It's nothing wrong if you tend to hear about an incidence at a distant place but what if you hear about a place next to you? We are living in a nuclear society, often we don't even know who our neighbors are, which is neither good for you nor for the society.

I don't want to be mistaken that this post is against using social media but it's more about you getting closer to your family, your society. Devote quality time with those who matters to you the most.

With these thoughts in mind, I would take a pause and leave you to have a thought and post your comments.

Aye dil-e-nadaan

aye dil-e-nadaan,
tu mohabbat karta hi kyun hai?
har baar khud ko samjhata hai,
fir bhi uske liye khud ko bekarar karta hi kyun hai!

har waqt talaashti hain jise nazarein,
us chehre pe tu marta hi kyun hai?
lakhon hain hasinayein is jahan mein aur bhi,
fir bhi tu bas usi k liye dhadakta kyun hai!!

Me & You

Just a thought, bit random, on my definition of my world- Me & You!!

When I walk on a lonely road,

I think of the entities of my world,
the world, which is not the same as all see!
It’s the world which inspires me,
without which one just can't imagine me!

It’s the world of people

who care for me,
& of those whom I care for!
I owe everything to my world,
not to get anything in return,
but just for the love, I wish to earn!

It’s just the relations which matter the most,

gives you the unconditional support when you need the most,
and make you laugh when you are about to cry,
even when the situations are wry!

Sometimes, I sit alone and think,

in my own virtual world,I sink.
At some moment I smile,
and at the other I just wanna cry.

Sometimes when I feel alone,

I wish to close my eyes,
and float into my thoughts.
I slowly find myself surrounded,
not with anything that’s bounded,
but it’s the everlasting fragrance,
of the precious moments I can't forget!
It drives me on its own,
takes me deeper and deeper,
& when I remember, makes me much happier!

I love those first drops,

which spreads happiness all around,
for each and every object that’s on this ground!
The exceptional aroma it leaves,
has always, something to give,
which inspires everyone to live!

I just try to be the same,

no matter whether I lose or gain,
I believe in me, I believe in you,
I believe in everybody around me, who’s true!

Yet, I believe there are a very few,

who comes and stays with you,
share the times - no matter its happiness or woes,
it doesn’t matter for them, because they are so close!

Going deeper into my thoughts,

with having almost everything lost,
no matter whatever I am left with,
might be worthless for others,
but still, I own some precious jewels!

To be continued...
